October 10, 2020 - Mataragas attends FALS Frenzy at Fairbury Speedway
Saturday night saw Mike Mataragas return with the Mars Racing Series at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) for the FALS Frenzy. In a stout field of 42 cars, Mataragas came one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a fourth place finish. September 4, 2020 - Blown motor ends Mataragas' weekend at Farmer City
On Friday afternoon Mike Mataragas visited Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.) to take part in the second round of the MARS Racing Series doubleheader. With 26 cars on hand for the Farmer City 74, Mataragas suffered a blown motor in qualifying that brought an immediate end to his evening.

August 29, 2020 - Top-10 finish in FALS Cup at Fairbury Speedway
Mike Mataragas was one of 25 Late Models on hand at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) on Saturday afternoon to get dialed in for the upcoming MARS Racing Series doubleheader over the Labor Day Weekend. Following the fifth fastest lap overall in time trials, Mataragas posted a fourth place finish in his heat race, which positioned him 11th on the starting grid for the A-Main. With $2,500 on the line, Mike jumped up two spots in the 30-lapper to place ninth.

August 12, 2020 - 12th place finish in Hell Tour show at Fairbury Speedway
Tuesday night found Mike Mataragas in action at Sycamore Speedway (Maple Park, Ill.) powering his Southlake Collision Center No. 1m Late Model for the 14th round of the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour. Coming one spot shy of a transfer position in his heat with a sixth place finish, Mataragas transferred into the B-Main for another shot at the $5,000-to-win A-Main. Failing to place third or better, Mike was granted a provisional into the show. Marching forward seven spots in the 40-lap affair, Mataragas reeled in a 13th place outing.

August 8, 2020 - Runner-up finish in FALS Cup at Fairbury Speedway
Mike Mataragas invaded Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.) on Friday afternoon for a pair of features. Rolling off on the pole for the A-Main rescheduled from July 31st, Mike dropped one spot to place behind Mike Chasteen Jr. with Donny Walden, Mike Glasscock, and Eric Smith rounding out the Top-5. For the full program, Mataragas followed up the second fastest time overall in qualifying with a runner-up finish in his heat behind Kevin Weaver. Earning the fifth-starting position for the $1,000-to-win A-Main, Mike was an early retiree from the 25-lapper.

On Saturday evening at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.), Mataragas jumped up two spots in his heat race to place third. Starting the $2,500-to-win A-Main in eighth, Mike clawed forward six spots to register a runner-up finish behind Billy Drake with Ricky Frankel, Tim Manville, and Mike Glasscock completing the Top-5 finishers.

July 31, 2020 - Mataragas makes Hell Tour debut at La Salle Speedway
Wednesday night saw Mike Mataragas make his debut with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals at La Salle Speedway (LaSalle, Ill.) for the 13th round of the Hell Tour. Drawing 32 cars, Mike came one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a fifth place finish. Scoring a runner-up spot behind Bob Gardner in his B-Main, Mataragas locked into the 18th-starting position for the main event. With $5,000 on the line, Mike pulled off early from the 50-lapper on lap 24.

Returning to action on Friday afternoon, Mataragas headed to Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.) powering his Mike Mataragas Enterprises (MME) No. 1M Late Model. Following the third fastest lap overall in a field of 18 cars, Mataragas jumped up one spot in his heat to pick up the win. Slated to start on the pole for the A-Main, persistent rain rolled in and wiped out the 20-lapper.

July 11, 2020 - Mike Mataragas attends World of Outlaws show at Plymouth
Making a last-minute decision, Mike Mataragas made the trip to Plymouth Dirt Track (Plymouth, Wis.) on Saturday afternoon for the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series sanctioned contest. In a field of 39 cars, Mataragas followed up the 10th fastest time in his group with a fifth place finish in his heat. Coming in second in his B-Main behind Brent Larson, Mike locked into the 19th-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main. Dropping three spots in the 50-lap affair, Mataragas recorded a 22nd place outing.

July 4, 2020 - Mataragas opens 2020 season at FCR and FALS
Mike Mataragas kicked off his 2020 season on Friday night at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.) piloting his Southlake Auto Mall No. 1M Late Model. After taking part in his time trial session, Mataragas was a scratch from both his heat race, and B-Main.

The following night at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.), Mike timed in sixth fastest overall before grabbing the fourth and final transfer position in his heat. With $2,500 on the line in the feature, Mataragas was an early retiree from the 30-lapper on lap 20.

September 14, 2019 - Mike Mataragas Attends Knoxville Nationals
Thursday night found Mike Mataragas in action at Knoxville Raceway (Knoxville, Iowa) kicking off the 16th annual Knoxville Nationals. With 55 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series entries on hand, Mataragas recorded a 6th place finish in his heat race transferring him into the B-Main for another shot at the $7,000-to-win preliminary feature. Needing a 3rd place finish or better, Mike came three spots short with a 6th place finish.

Returning on Friday for another $7,000-to-win preliminary feature, Mike recorded the 12th fastest lap in his time trial group before placing in his heat behind Frank Heckenast Jr. Starting the A-Main in 12th, Mataragas slipped back to a 24th place outing in the 25-lap affair.

Wrapping up the 16th annual Knoxville Nationals on Saturday, Mike rolled off 4th in his B-Main for one final shot at the $40,000-to-win finale. Sending the Top 3 into the show, Mataragas fell short with a 9th place outing.

August 31, 2019 - Mataragas Visits FCR & FALS with Ethanol Tour
Mike Mataragas invaded Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) on Friday night kicking off the doubleheader with the American Ethanol Late Model Tour. In a field of 27 cars, Mike secured his spot into the opening night feature with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Mike Spatola. With $5,000 on the line, Mataragas dropped back to a 19th place outing.

August 16, 2019 - 4th Place Finish at Farmer City Raceway
On Friday evening Mike Mataragas traveled to Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) competing in a field of 16 DIRTcar Super Late Models. Following a 5th place finish in his heat, Mike passed five cars in the feature reeling in a 4th place finish behind Mike Spatola, Donny Walden, and Rich Bell with Bill Giannetti coming in 5th.

Saturday's event at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, IL) fell victim to Mother Nature.

August 3, 2019 - Mataragas Lands Top 5 Finish in FALS Cup Action
Mike Mataragas returned to Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois) on Saturday evening behind the wheel of his Southlake AutoMall No. 1M Super Late Model. In a field of 32 cars, Mike gained one spot in his heat to place 2nd behind Kevin Weaver. Earning the 7th-starting position for the $2,500-to-win A-Main, Matargas jumped up two spots recording a 5th place finish behind Billy Drake, Ryan Unzicker, Kevin Weaver, and Scott Schmitt.

July 27, 2019 - Mataragas Attends Prairie Dirt Classic at Fairbury
Friday night saw Mike Mataragas return to Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois) kicking off the 30th annual Prairie Dirt Classic. With 72 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries on hand for a round of preliminary features, Mataragas recorded the seventh fastest time in his qualifying group locking him into the 4th-starting position for his $2,500-to-win prelim. Locking the Top 4 into Saturday night’s main event, Mike slipped back to an 8th place finish.

Returning on Saturday night starting in 5th in his B-Main for another shot at the $30,000-to-win finale, Mike posted a 7th place finish sending him into the Prairie Dirt Shootout non-qualifiers feature for one last shot at the show.
